Workflow Builder & Automation Platform

Overview

Tabby is a Buy Now, Pay Later fintech unicorn in the Middle East. I designed an internal tool that lets its support and ops teams automate their own workflows without writing code.

Procedure builder for Update payout account — branching by merchant region with a published flow

Tabby’s support and operations teams run high-volume, rule-heavy processes. Each process is a series of steps, conditions, and backend checks.

The solution is a canvas. Each procedure is built as connected nodes instead of a written doc, so agents see the whole flow before opening a single step. They set conditions to branch the path — here, routing a payout account change by country — chain into other procedures, and drop in steps that tell the agent exactly what to verify.

Procedure step configuration with a backend connector saving a check result to a variable

Steps can also reach the backend. Through connectors, a procedure pulls live data — like a scoring or blocklist check — saves it to a variable, and branches on the result on its own. The whole thing is composable without writing code.

Outcomes

I shaped this project at the very start. I defined the key interaction patterns, the node and canvas system, the configuration model, and the visual language for conditions and connectors. I worked with a PM, the engineering lead, and operations leads.

The platform launched and is in active internal use at Tabby.
